Whisk Kid’s Cooking School

With Austin being one of the 10th best cities for foodies and having a population of 60K elementary school-age children, the group felt a need for a dedicated cooking school for children.

The Whisk Brand was designed to appeal to adults and children.

Work Scope:

  • Researching area competitors

  • Choosing a business name

  • Designing a logo and a style guide for the brand.

Challenge:

To design relevant, fun, and memorable visuals that appeal to both children and the adults purchasing the services.

Whisk Paper System

Elements such as rounded corners, policy envelopes, and folding business cards were added to portray a fun environment.

Design Process

The whisk was chosen because of its distinctive shape, and common use by foodies. The color palette was conceptualized using typical children's colors and toning them down to appeal to the adult audience. The font Playlines was added to incorporate playfulness into the design.

Brand Guide

A brand guide was created to ensure the look and feel of the brand stays consistent in the future. The guide includes mission, logo specifications, color palette, Typography, patterns, etc.
